  • Level of cleaning required

  • Accessibility

  • Number of rooms

  • Services requested

  • Additional cleaning requirements

If the actual condition or scope of the property differs materially from the information provided during booking, we may revise the price.

Where appropriate, we may arrange a return visit to address cleaning items that fall within the original agreed scope.

Additional charges may apply where the requested work relates to:

  • Work outside the original scope

  • Permanent staining

  • Damage

  • Restoration

  • Significant mould

  • Conditions not reasonably apparent at the time of the original service

A return visit or re-clean does not guarantee bond release, as the final decision regarding the bond remains with the relevant property owner, agent or authority.

8. Oven Cleaning

Oven cleaning is available as an additional service where offered.

Standard oven cleaning may include:

  • Oven interior

  • Oven door

  • Oven glass

  • Racks

  • Trays

  • Accessible exterior surfaces

Heavily neglected ovens, excessive grease or carbon buildup may require additional time and may incur an additional charge where agreed.

We will not use a cleaning method that we reasonably believe could damage a component or surface.

9. Property Condition

Our standard pricing assumes the property is reasonably accessible and suitable for normal residential cleaning.

Additional charges may apply where the property has substantially more cleaning required than represented at the time of booking, including:

  • Excessive dirt or grease

  • Heavy soap or limescale buildup

  • Excessive pet hair

  • Significant mould

  • Excessive clutter

  • Large quantities of rubbish

  • Biohazards

  • Pest infestation

  • Unusual contamination

  • Other conditions requiring substantially more time or specialised treatment

Where reasonably practicable, we will discuss significant additional work and pricing with you before proceeding.

10. Decluttering & Personal Belongings

Cleaning services do not include general decluttering, organising or removal of excessive personal belongings.

Customers should ensure surfaces and floors are reasonably accessible before the cleaner arrives.

We may clean around items that cannot reasonably be moved.

11. Access to the Property

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property at the scheduled appointment time.

Access may be provided through:

  • Customer attendance

  • Key

  • Key safe

  • Access code

  • Building access instructions

  • Another method agreed with us

You are responsible for ensuring that keys, codes and access instructions are correct.

If we cannot gain access within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, the booking may be treated as a no-show or cancellation.

Any applicable cancellation or no-access fee may then be invoiced.

12. Parking

Customers should provide reasonable parking and property access where possible.

You are responsible for advising us of:

  • Visitor parking requirements

  • Building parking restrictions

  • Security gates

  • Parking permits

  • Other access restrictions

Where unavoidable parking, toll or access charges have been disclosed or agreed, these may be added to your invoice.

13. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change.

Individual bookings

We require at least 7 days' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without a cancellation fee.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than 7 days before the scheduled appointment may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the booked service price.

Same-day cancellations, no-shows or failure to provide property access may incur a fee of up to 50% of the booked service price.

Any applicable cancellation fee will generally be invoiced separately through Hnry.

Recurring services

Recurring services require at least 7 days' notice to cancel or pause an ongoing booking.

We may waive or reduce a cancellation fee at our discretion in genuine emergencies or exceptional circumstances.

14. Deposits

A deposit may be required for selected services, including Deep Cleaning and End-of-Lease / Bond Cleaning.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Deep Clean deposit: 25%

  • Bond Clean deposit: 30%

The deposit will be credited toward the final service invoice.

Where a cancellation fee applies, any deposit already paid may be applied toward the applicable cancellation fee.

Where a booking is cancelled with sufficient notice, we may refund or transfer the deposit to a rescheduled appointment, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

15. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, standard cleaning services are payable upon completion.

Invoices may be issued through Hnry and are payable using the payment methods provided on the invoice.

Deposits and other agreed charges may also be invoiced through Hnry.

Additional work that has been approved by the customer may be added to the final invoice.

Overdue invoices may be subject to reasonable payment reminders and recovery processes.

16. Pets

Customers must advise us if pets are present at the property.

Pets should be secured where reasonably necessary for the safety of the animal, customer and cleaner.

We may pause or discontinue cleaning where an animal creates an unsafe working environment.

17. Children & Occupants

Customers are responsible for keeping children and other occupants away from cleaning equipment, wet floors and cleaning products where reasonably necessary for safety.

18. Fragile & Valuable Items

Customers should notify us of fragile, valuable, antique or delicate items before cleaning.

Where appropriate, customers should remove or secure such items before our arrival.

We may decline to clean an item where we reasonably believe the cleaning process could damage it due to its material, age, condition, construction or manufacturer's requirements.

19. Surfaces & Materials

Customers must advise us of specialty or delicate surfaces before cleaning, including where applicable:

  • Natural stone

  • Marble

  • Terrazzo

  • Untreated timber

  • Specialty coatings

Customers should advise us before the appointment of any relevant:

  • Allergies

  • Chemical sensitivities

  • Fragrance sensitivities

  • Product restrictions

We use professional cleaning products appropriate to the service being performed.

Customers should not mix or apply cleaning chemicals supplied or used by us.

21. Mould

Our mould-cleaning service is intended for small, accessible areas of surface mould.

It is not a specialist mould-remediation service.

We do not undertake:

  • Extensive mould remediation

  • Hidden mould remediation

  • Structural moisture repairs

  • HVAC mould remediation

  • Specialist environmental remediation

Where mould appears extensive or appears to be associated with an underlying moisture issue, we may recommend that you engage an appropriate specialist.

22. Stains & Cleaning Limitations

Cleaning can improve the appearance of dirt, grime and buildup but cannot guarantee removal of:

  • Permanent stains

  • Discolouration

  • Scratches

  • Etching

  • Rust

  • Mineral damage

  • Paint damage

  • Burn marks

  • Aged deterioration

  • Existing surface damage

Some marks or buildup may be permanent or may require specialist restoration.

We will not use unnecessarily aggressive cleaning methods where doing so could reasonably risk damaging the underlying surface.

23. Pre-existing Damage

Customers should advise us of known pre-existing damage, stains, defects or fragile surfaces before the service.

Where reasonably necessary, we may photograph or document pre-existing conditions for record-keeping and service assessment.

24. Photos & Documentation

We may take photographs of areas of the property before, during or after a cleaning service where reasonably necessary for:

  • Assessing the scope of work

  • Documenting pre-existing conditions

  • Quality control

  • Verifying completion of services

  • Preparing or reviewing a quote

  • Resolving a service concern

Photographs taken for these purposes will be used for operational and record-keeping purposes.

We will not publish photographs of your property or use them for marketing without your consent.

25. Safety

We reserve the right to pause or decline work where conditions present a reasonable safety risk, including:

  • Dangerous animals

  • Exposed electrical hazards

  • Structural hazards

  • Biohazards

  • Hazardous substances

  • Unsafe access

  • Significant pest infestation

  • Other conditions that could reasonably endanger the cleaner or occupants

Where practical, we will discuss the issue with you and attempt to identify a safe alternative.

26. Ladders & High Areas

We use appropriate access equipment for routine cleaning.

We will not use unstable furniture, countertops or other unsuitable objects as access equipment.

High windows, ceilings or other areas requiring specialist access may be excluded from the service or require a separate quote.

27. Weather & External Areas

External services may be postponed where weather conditions make the work unsafe or impractical.

Where weather affects a scheduled service, we will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable and work with you to reschedule.

28. Appointment Times & Cleaning Duration

Appointment times and estimated cleaning durations are based on the information provided when booking.

Actual cleaning time may vary depending on:

  • Property condition

  • Property size

  • Accessibility

  • Level of cleaning required

  • Additional services

  • Unexpected conditions

Where additional time or work is reasonably required beyond the booked service, we will discuss any additional charges with you before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

29. Customer Satisfaction & Complaints

We want you to be happy with your service.

If you have a concern about the quality or scope of a cleaning service, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable after the service and provide details of the issue.

Where appropriate, we may arrange a reasonable return visit to address a cleaning deficiency that falls within the agreed service scope.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.

30. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

  • Illness

  • Emergency

  • Severe weather

  • Equipment failure

  • Unforeseen circumstances

  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

Where this occurs, we will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable and work with you to arrange another suitable appointment.

33. Our Right to Decline or Stop a Service

We may decline or discontinue a service where:

  • The property is unsafe

  • Required access cannot be provided

  • Materially inaccurate information was provided during booking

  • The requested work falls outside our services

  • There is abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour

  • Continuing the service would reasonably risk injury or property damage

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or removed to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
